Mastering Prep Checklist
Follow this checklist before uploading your mix. A properly prepared file means a faster, better master.
Export your final mix as a 24-bit / 48kHz WAV file
No MP3s. Use the same sample rate as your session.
Leave 3–6dB of headroom on the master bus
Don't clip. Don't limit. We need room to work.
Remove all master bus processing (limiters, maximizers)
Leave EQ/compression only if it's integral to the mix sound.
Include 1–2 reference tracks with notes

How does remote mastering work?
You upload your final mix through our secure portal. We master it in our professional studio using analog-digital hybrid equipment optimized for your target format. You receive mastered files ready for release and can request revisions.
What formats can you master for?
Streaming (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal), broadcast (radio, TV), vinyl, and CD. Each format has specific loudness and technical requirements that we optimize for individually.
What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing balances individual tracks (vocals, drums, bass, etc.) into a stereo mix. Mastering takes that finished mix and optimizes it for playback across all systems — adding final polish, loudness, and format-specific preparation.
How long does remote mastering take?
Most masters are delivered within 2–3 business days. Rush delivery (24–48 hours) is available as an add-on for an additional fee. We include revision rounds.
What should I send for mastering?
Your final stereo mix as a 24-bit WAV file with 3–6dB of headroom. No limiting on the master bus. Include reference tracks and notes about your target sound. Follow our prep checklist above.
Can I listen in during the mastering session?
Yes — we offer a live listen-in add-on for an additional fee. You can hear your master being built in real time from any device and converse with the engineer throughout. Ask about it when you submit your project.
Is remote mastering the same quality as in-person?
Identical. Same engineer, same gear, same monitoring environment. Remote is a convenience option — you're paying for the ears, not the room.
Do you master albums or just singles?
Both. For albums and EPs, we ensure consistent loudness and tonal balance across all tracks so the project sounds cohesive from start to finish.
