Is it worth driving from Pearland to a studio in West Houston?
Most Pearland artists tell us the drive up 288 and around Beltway 8 pays for itself in the first hour. Pearland has very few professionally treated rooms, so artists who want platinum-level engineering rather than a bedroom setup make the trip — and typically book longer blocks so each visit covers more ground.
How should I plan a session if I'm coming from Pearland?
Book a 4-hour block minimum and come prepared — lyrics finished, beats exported, references picked. Since you're making a drive, we structure Pearland sessions to maximize output: most artists leave with 2-3 fully tracked songs and rough mixes on their phone.
Do I need to write my lyrics before coming to the studio?
It helps to have a direction in mind, but we work with artists at all stages. Some come in with everything locked in, others write and develop in the room. Either way, we'll make the session work for you.
Can I bring my own beats or instrumentals to record over?
Absolutely. You can bring MP3s, WAVs, or any audio file. We'll load it into Pro Tools and sync your vocal timing to it. If your beat is in a different key or tempo than you want to sing in, our engineer can adjust it.
What should I bring to my recording session?
Bring reference tracks that represent the sound you're going for, any backing tracks or beats (on USB or email), water, and snacks. A small, focused group in the room leads to better work. We provide the microphone, preamp, and all technical gear.
